〔Abstract〕 Objective To investigate the relationship between Toll-like receptor 9(TLR9) gene polymorphisms and Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori) infection. Methods A total of 683 blood samples were collected. The samples were divided intoH.pylorinegative group(n=305) andH.pyloripositive group(n=378) by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) method. Results TLR9 rs187084, rs352140 and rs164640 were genotyped by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RFLP). TLR9 rs187084 TC genotype reduced the risk ofH.pyloriinfection(TCvs. TT:OR=0.520, 95%CI=0.329~0.820). The risk ofH.pyloriinfection increased in rs164640 AG+GG genotype carriers(AG+GGvs. AA:OR=1.569, 95%CI=1.126~2.187). rs352140 was not associated with the risk ofH.pyloriinfection. Conclusion TLR9 rs187084 and rs164640 might play a role inH.pyloriinfection.
