〔Abstract〕 Objective To investigate the ability of adhesion and the function of regulating local immune factors in vulvovaginalCandidiasis(VVC) patients. Methods Lactobacillusstrains were isolated and identified from vaginal secretions of VVC patients and healthy control women. The adhesion ability of different vaginalLactobacillusstrains with vaginal squamous cell line VK2/E6 E7 was measured. The levels of interleukin(IL)-1α, IL-1β, IL-6 and IL-8 secreted by vaginal squamous cell line VK2/E6 E7 in the presence of differentLactobacilluswere measured. Results The adhesion abilities ofLactobacilluscrispatus,Lactobacillusgasseri andLactobacillusfermentum in VVC group was significantly lower than those in control group. Compared with the control group,Lactobacilluscrispatus andLactobacillusfermentum in VVC group could upregulate the level of IL-6 and IL-8,Lactobacillusvaginalis could upregulate the level of IL-6, whileLactobacillusgasseri andLactobacillusdelbrueckii could upregulate the level of IL-1α and IL-1β. Conclusion In VVC group, the adherence ofLactobacilliis decreased and the local immune function of vagina is abnormal.
