〔Abstract〕 Objective To investigate the social support status and its influencing factors of patients with gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM). Methods 499 GDM patients and 353 normal pregnant women were included as the subjects of the study. The general demographic characteristics were collected and the Social support rating scale(SSRS) was used for the questionnaire. Results The objective support score, the subjective support score, the degree of support score and the total score of the social support of the GDM group were not significantly different from that of the control group. Multivariate analysis showed that education level, work situation, family income, production history, early pregnancy response were related factors affecting the social support level of GDM patients(P<0.05). High education, employment during pregnancy, high family income, multipara, no early pregnancy reaction of GDM patients received more social support. Conclusion The social support level of GDM patients is affected by many factors, and the attention to the social support of GDM patients should be further strengthened, with a special focus on the social support of pregnant women with low education, non-employment, low family income, primary production and early pregnancy reaction.
